What is Micro/Nano Needling?

Micro/Nano Needling is a safe and versatile skin therapy procedure for most skin types. This non-invasive aesthetic procedure uses fine sterile needles to create controlled & intentional microscopic injuries to the surface of the skin. The needles glide throughout the targeted area (s) piercing the top layer in a specific sequence at the precise depths. Nancy P. Young an experienced licensed esthetician of 16 years specializes in corrective and preventative skin health, she will be using nano needles that will pierce the skin between 0.25-2.5mm. The micro injuries set the body’s natural healing process in motion, releasing growth factors that can help stimulate the formation of new collagen, elastin, & neovascularization (important for wound healing).

Contraindications:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Accutane (isotretinoin) in the last 6 months

  • Active pustules or cysts (this would spread bacteria)

  • Retin A topical or other skin-irritating products

  • Aesthetic procedures / injections in the last 2 weeks: this includes botox & fillers

  • Blood-thinning medications within the last week

  • History of keloid scarring or abnormal wound-healing

  • Skin cancer or suspicious lesions

  • Allergies to local anesthetics, metals (i.e. gold)

  • Sunburn (natural sunlight, tanning), extreme sensitivity, rosacea

  • Poorly controlled medical conditions (i.e. diabetes, vascular)

  • Impaired immune system and/or use of immunosuppressive medications

  • Active infection, cold sores (Herpes Simplex), psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis

  • Tattoos and/or permanent makeup

  • Implanted medical devices in the treatment area

  • Impaired judgment, psychological conditions, and substance or alcohol abuse

  • Clients with unrealistic expectations

  • *Note: It is your responsibility to consult with your licensed physician if you feel it is necessary before this treatment. You understand that this is a completely voluntary aesthetic procedure.

After Care

It is important that you schedule your micro/nano needling appointment (s) during a time that you can have limited direct sun exposure. You will experience redness & possibly puffiness for 3-5 days after your treatment. Bruising and sloughing of the skin is also a possibility.

Do not use any AHA’s or BHA’s, Retinoids, or any exfoliating products for 5-7 days after your Micro/Nano Needling treatment.

Do no apply any make up, especially mineral base make up for the first 72 hours. (Mineral base products can affect the skin’s ability to slough and heal)

  • Payment Plan: All package options have a payment plan available. 3 pack has a 50/50 payment split. 6 Pack can be broken down into 3 equal payments.
